We've been lax for a day. It feels like we're competing in the Amazing Race and we finally have a mandatory pit stop day. I'm sitting in a beach condo at the Driftwood Shores looking out at the Pacific Ocean in front of a roaring fire on a typical Oregon rainy day with Rachael and Heidi. It's nice hanging out with Rachael. We met her in Eugene today. We had lunch, checked out her digs and headed further west to Heceta Beach. Tonight a great seafood meal at the World Famous Mo's (arn't they all). We will head back to Eugene tomorrow and hang out in town before our trek to Canada on Monday. We've traveled 2940 miles so far. We spent last night at a very cool hotel in the Columbia River gorge, Hood River Inn. Yesterdays travel through Idaho and the rockies was exhilarating and at times downright scary with the trailer on the steep climbs and downslopes. Beautiful travel weather so far so tonights rain is fine and calming. Heidi and I seem to be good travel partners. lol... to all our friends, we think of you constantly....Dave
